LAHORE: The Punjab government has rescheduled summer vacations in schools from Tuesday (May 24) due to ongoing intense heat wave.
Minister for Education Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan told reporters that educational institutions across the province will reopen on August 15.
The minister had earlier announced that all schools of Punjab would close on June 1. Till then the school timings will be 7:30am-11:00am, he had said.
Sindh government had also announced summer vacations after the recent heat wave across the country. After the Sindh government’s decision, parents in Punjab had asked the government to announce summer vacations as early as possible.
