ABBOTTABAD: Lieutenant General Ghayur Mahmood was on Saturday appointed as the Colonel Commandmant of the Frontier Force Regiment during a ceremony held at Abbottabad.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, accompanied by former chief Gen (retd.) Raheel Shareef, pinned the badges of rank on Lt Gen Ghayoor’s uniform.
Speaking on occasion, COAS lauded the contributions of the officers towards the defence of the country.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of serving and retired officers of the FFR.
